Book Now - Porongurups Climb Dine Rewind

Discover the spectacular scenery and bountiful produce of the Porongurups and Mount Barker regions. Castle Rock is a 4.2km return walk that requires moderate fitness. To reach the summit there is a final short scramble over granite rocks and a climb up an enclosed ladder to the Granite Skywalk. Our guide will share stories from the traditional Noongar owners and the European settlers. Learn why the area produces award winning wines and local produce then sample some of the best of both with a shared platter at a Mt Barker winery. Finish the day with a visit to the Mt Romance Sandalwood Factory where you'll enjoy the meditative properties of sandalwood in a unique Gonging experience.

Average Duration: 6.5 hours

About Porongorups

Mount Barker is best known for being the gateway to the Porongurup and Stirling Range National Parks, although it's a region attracting a lot of attention more recently for its wineries, too. The Porongurups, for such a tiny area, has a disproportionately large number of farm stays, self-contained chalets, and B&Bs, plus there’s an inn attached to quaint tearooms, and a caravan park. It’s a good base for people wanting to hit the cellar doors or hike in the national park.
