Book Now - Albany's Whale Story

We begin our tour at the summit of Stoney Hill gazing across Princess Royal Harbour to King George Sound and the Southern Ocean beyond. Imagine for a moment the spume of spray and the playful leap of a whale as it makes its way along the Great Southern coast on a long journey north. If you are visiting between May and October you may even see them during migration.
Today the whales travel safely; uninterrupted in their journey, however that was not always so. Albany's role in Australia's whaling story comes to life on this tour at Albany's Historic Whaling Station. A guided tour provides reflection on the significance of whale hunting in the past and recognition of the value of whale watching today. On return to Albany enjoy the pristine marine environment of the Amazing South Coast seen in all it's magnificent splendor at The Gap and The Natural Bridge in the Torndirrup National Park. Did you know Albany has the only historical whaling station open to the public in the world?
Did you know that this part of Western Australia was a part of the super continent Gondwana?
