Our dedicated Busy Blue Bus Tour Guide Driver entertain you with stories of our region’s unique history en-route from Albany to Bremer Bay where you will join the expedition vessel to journey out to the remote Bremer Canyon for a unique marine wildlife experience. You will not only see an amazing wildlife spectacle, but also learn about the research programme which aims to study the vocalisations of Killer Whales and their interaction with other marine creatures. Dress Code

We recommend bringing a warm jacket and wearing comfortable layered clothing and flat enclosed shoes. The Bremer Canyon can get quite cold, so please bring warmer clothes with you for the trip.

Are children allowed? Yes, older children are allowed on the Expedition however it is not recommend for children under the age of 10, and is also dependent on their past experiences on a boat. This is an adventurous expedition, and as the parent you need to be 100% comfortable and confident in their ability to handle a full day out at sea, a long way from shore. Their comfort will be your full responsibility and understandably if they are not handling the conditions then this may detract from your quality time seeing the Orca’s. Please take your time to make a decision regarding children as this is very important for all involved. The price is $484 per person. To book online the booking system option allows for just one rate for this tour, please choose “Adult”. Once you’ve made your booking please inform the office by email or phone, if there are any children in your party, and their age. Weather Information

Naturaliste Charters advise all cruises are subject to favourable weather on the day. We will contact you via the phone and email address you supply should the tour be cancelled and you can confirm your booking by contacting our office on (08) 9842 2133 prior to the tour.
Temperature: although the tours are during the warmer months it can be a lot colder out on the ocean. Please bring appropriate clothing.

Your day starts at 5.45am when the Busy Blue Bus picks you up at the Albany Visitors' Centre; or earlier if you require courtesy pick-up at your accommodation. You are on a 180 kilometre journey to the Bremer Bay Marina departure point for the Killer Whale Expedition. During the drive to Bremer Bay, our Busy Blue Bus Tour Guide driver provides an informative and factual commentary on the pioneering history and riches of the Amazing South Coast. The day's program is outlined, to ensure you feel relaxed, informed and comfortable about the upcoming day's events.
At the Bremer Bay Marina you are transferred into the care of Naturaliste Charters’ crew. Once on board, the crew are introduced and a vessel safety brief is given. The marine adventure begins!
Morning tea is provided and anticipation builds as we head to the edge of the shelf and the Bremer Canyon. The deck starts to buzz as the crew and researchers make preparations in readiness for the first glimpse of action; the adventure is about to begin! You’ll feel a mix of apprehension and a hint of exhilaration!
Then you see it! Emerging in the distance are birds hovering, the disturbance of the water, tails and fins in vigorous motion. The movement and action, as you get closer, creates a feeling of amazement and excitement.

In the midst of the action, a delicious fresh lunch is served buffet style. Take time out to enjoy. Later, as you return to the Marina, there is afternoon tea and refreshments. The Busy Blue Bus will be at the Bremer Bay Marina when the boat pulls in. We’ll be there to nurture your memories on your return to Albany that night, awash with this extraordinary experience. If the tour is cancelled by Naturaliste Charters due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances we will endeavour to get you onto the next available confirmed tour or a refund your ticket.

What to bring: Camera, towel, sunscreen. Please be prepared for this full-day expedition and take motion sickness tablets 1 hour prior to boarding (or as per instructions) and also bring them with you. Seek advice from your pharmacist prior to your tour.
